So, I really want a crpg with some actualy kingdom building.... something akin to spellforce series, long story short i keep rushing through this game ( but not really ) and im at the troll invasion now, do i ever get to do anything more involved with my kingdom than, play mix and match with cards, and tetris with buildings?

Do i ever lead a charge?

Do my infantry / men ever help me out?

doi ever defend a settlement / wall from enemy invasion ?

AND do i do those things more than once or twice if so or are they just set scripted events.

TO anyone who has gotten really far.
I have gotten up to the point, where i got my barony.

But no, even later on the army does never help you. Its more a text-base game then, where you have cards at the bottom. This cards can then be events or objectives. Events are time-limited, sometimes really bad, as they run out of time in a few days and the necessary character for solving them (your heroes you choose to be your advisor) are occupied with tasks already. Objectives are without timelimit, like making an trade route to your neighbor.

The building itsself is on a kinda map, as you have maybe seen in the advertisement. When you have a new settlement, you have about 10 fields, where you put buildings onto, which gives different benefits, like an shop for economy, or an casern for military. When your advisors solve events or objectives, you get points in their special area, like military, too.
When you have reached enough points in some field, like economy, or military, you can make an objective to reach another level regarding this.
The settlements you find later can be visited on the map in the general rolegame. but often there is not much to see. in my game, which is really at the beginning, even the main city has like 5 small houses, i can go into, an extra field, where the tavern is, and my throne room.

So: don´t expect much like civilisation, where you raise armies or whatever.

ah see I am much farther than that.. I own 3 cities and 3 "regions" ... I wasnt expecting an rts game hiding in my CRPG but i was at least expecting some repeatable missions to come out of it... like "clear this monster lair alongside your troops" or defend this town from bandit, or defend the castle from an orc invasion... etc.

Huge opportunity missed. imo.

Yes, but on the other hand you must imagine, that this is a lot of more work if you want to include deeper Game stuff. Games like Civilisation are not done in an afternoon. This game is still a lot for the budget they had.

You can always do more. But most often you do not have the money.
I just got there but it's VERY buggy. I put up a few buildings, launch an event and bam! monsters raining for several days, ruining my kingdom, the curse activates, bandits swarm...
