The mods on Nexusmods only work with Steam because the modified file contains the source code to connect online. Only option is mod yourself.

What kind of mod are you looking for?
Thanks for the heads up, that explains everything. The mod that I tried was one that increased your backpack size.

If you have Discord or Skype, you could send me a PM. Maybe I can help out. :-)
I have multiple mods from nexus loaded into a GOG install with Partiality without any issue.

Currently using Better Quick Slots, Hide HUD, Multiplayer Limit Remover, and Nicer Faces.

I stand corrected and thanks for the feedback. I have playermapmaker working. So it seems that some mods work and others don't.
Can I get some help with launching the mods using Partiality? They are not working for my group of gog users.
Hi, for information same problem.
I can't use partiality launcher with GOG version of this game...
I tried to create a "Mods" folder but the launcher doesn't recognised mods like player map markers, bag map markers...

I use partiality with the 1.0.0 version of the game just fine. I had to use the 794260 game code (in partiality under the game name), added the mod and then activate what i wanted to be in the game, but when it says if you want to launch the game you have to decline. Then you can close partiality and just run the game as usual from gog and it will have mods activated.

Hi there!
I have a problem with Outward & BepinEx 5.01:
It won´t load.
Using latest Outward version from Gog-website, reinstalled Outward, installed BepInEx 64bit & 32Bit but neither version worked.
There is no config folder ...
Used plugins: Configuration Manager, MoreMapDetail, SideLoader, SharedMod
I haven´t any clue to solve this problem ...
Thx for any help!

PS: I found here (https://outward.gamepedia.com/Installing_Mods) i have to install the Mono(?) version of Outward.
How can i install the Mono-version of Outward without Galaxy?
Very frustating all this be ...
Trying to get Custom Multiplayer limit to work, did the same steps than my friends (drop some files + use the beta channel) who have the Steam version, and for me in GOG it is not loading the mod.

+ It keeps on trying to update the game to fix some files

Anybody had success with it?
I am surprised nobody mentioned it here, but the key is to switch your game to "mono" version. It's done via GoG Galaxy app, requires an additional (albeit small, about 168mb for me) download, and the process is described here:

(for whatever reason the forum doesn't allow me to post direct links ) outward.fandom.com slash wiki slash Installing_Mods

I can confirm that the modes like extended weight or additional quickslots worked for me after that. I used the recommended mod manager from overwolf.

Hope it helps, cheers!
Can you get this mono without galaxy.Has anyone tried it with the offline installers?

How do players do that? Is there mod tools for the game?

It used to be easy when the game was still based on mono because all the game logic was in scripts that weren't encoded so you could just unpack and edit them in a text editor.

They moved to a more stable technology a while ago, so it's harder now, but they still offer the mono version for download. It's even available on GoG Galaxy.

The wiki is really good on that topic, including instructions for GoG: https://outward.fandom.com/wiki/Installing_Mods
