And I didn't even "fool" around with it! It just never showed up in my inventory...
What to do? I really don't want to start a new game after this. is there a hack that can make it go back?

Sorry, but no. He states that he already told you everything he knows. When you buy it from him, he tells you it's the last he haves :S I put it in my backpack but when I looked for it, it wasn't there.

Save before you buy it and immideately give it to the Shamaz. I did a bunch of other quests before delivering it to the Shamaz, overwriting old save files :(

That sucks. Maybe someone else knows of a cheat to get it back? Or maybe someone has a save file that isn't too far back you could use?

If you do end up having to restart that's a major bummer, but it's worth it to play again because Outcast is a great game.

True. I've completed it several times but have not touched it in a few years. Really wish somebody could lend me a savefile.

It happened to me once, I bought magwa from Logar, Logar gave it to me, then I talked to Logar again to ask some other questions, after that I went to Shamaz,but there's no magwa in my bag at all! So I have to load the savegame again.

Well, I made a new save and I just completed the game for the 12th time. Good times :)

I got the same bug. Frustrating game anyway.
