Hi folks. I get a crash between campaign missions, although it doesn't seem to lose my progress between missions. It crashes with ' Access violation at address 0067A1F2 in module 'OwarFull.dll'. Read of address 131C404E' and dumps a textfile I've copied into the end of the post.
Anyone got any ideas on a fix?

I have had the game crash a few times in the same way as you have had - inbetwen missions. However it seems to log the progress before it crashes (crashing as it loads) and does not appear to have any set pattern that I can see. Restarting the game gets one back into play but it would be good if a solution is found
Check if any of the game's files aren't quarantined by your anti-virus software (better yet, close your AV software afterwards). There was some business with an IRC client being included in the DLLand some really dumb AV programs can treat that bit of code as a trojan...
Running the game through the "Run as Administrator" option can't hurt as well, I guess.

The virus scanner aspect tend to kick in as soon as you run the game exe and stops the game running at all. Though most AV programs have an exclusion list in thier advanced options where you can sected it to ignor key files or folders.
If you installed this into program files on vista you could try uninstalling it and installing it to a different directory that isn't program files like say C:\games\Original war or something. Vista can be funny with some programs access to its own files when installed in the program files folder.
What turned out to fix this one was running the game in the default resolution of 800/600. This fixed it for me and thusfar it hasn't come back. Weird.

I'm trying the Legacy Version of Original War and it's giving me the exact access violation error. I tried running the game at 800x600 but that didn't work either. Is there any other way to get the Legacy version to work?

owarfull.dll hasn't been used in years. What is the error log you had?

Here is the log. I'm using the legacy version since I wanted it to run in WinXP: It gives an error for both Direct Draw and OpenGL:

Could you try the following version of OwarDD.exe, i added the modern version's error system to it (Which should give line numbers and unit names instead of just memory addresses). It won't fix your issue but it should give a better idea of what is going on (Which by the looks of it, something doesn't exist).

So I ran that new owardd.exe file and this was the error message:
