I was wondering about this myself. I bought the game to play with friends but unless its random ranked I don't see an option to really play with friends

Remember that this game needs Galaxy in order to use multiplayer modes.

Is this requirement checked?

you have to click on the "Multiplayer - Game Available" button and a new "Lobby Game" button will appear.
I guess cooperation status should be an option to set, or not, for each player (like a team choice).

Is "Ranked Multiplayer" talk about a "Match Available"? Is the ranked mode really usable?

I use gog galaxy client on my mac os 10.12 and my windows 10 pro but when i click on multiplayer i have only ranked multiplayer.

I haven't lobby game and it is the problem because on youtube i see lobby game for the steam version of this game.

On my 2 computers, i haven't this choice .

I play with different game that use gog galaxy for multiplayer as gwent, ashes of the singulary, tropico 5, worms wmd and all this games works very well on multiplayer.


PS: i have try to play ranked mode and after more 20 min, the game doesn't find any players !!!!!!! I think ranked mode doesn't work too.

I actually just bought this game because of the coop mode and the offer to get an additional free copy.
If it doesn't work online or doesn't have LAN support, within 30 days it will be my 1 refund in more than 3 years :(

i would like to know too where the coop part is? I have logged into GoG Galaxy and checked ingame the Multiplayer part. But i only have Ranked Multiplayer. No Lobby at all. If Coop is not active soon i will reverse my purchase.

Update: It seems in that the GOG Version of Offworld Trading COmpany does NOT include Custom Lobbies and only has ranked play.

If this is true then it IS false advertising on GoG's part.

My understanding is this option does not exist in the GOG version, only ranked play.

Yes, gog changed the gamepage description. Only ranked play is available, if you are lucky and the servers are actually online. Saddly the fun of this game is in playing it against friends. Ranked doesn't make sense since you play with unknown people.

Unless you both click 'search game' at the same time.

The games must have coop mode because on the shop on gog.com there are:

"Options : solo - multijoueur - co-op - succès - classements"

Sorry to burst your Bubble. I checked the Multiplayer part and there IS NO Coop. I purchased the Steam Version too and voiala there is a COOP Lobby. So there IS a difference between the GOG and Steam Version.
