Just as if you had bought a retail copy, you are allowed to install your copy of the game on however many computers you please. Of course, like the retail copy, you could only play one of these installations online. Not sure how you would go about getting a second set of CD Keys through GoG short of contacting them to see what arrangement can be made involving the purchase of another copy of the game.

Where I read it before, the question was something like "Can I install <multiplayergame> on my other computer so I can LAN with my friend?" and the answer was "Sure, though we ask that you only install it on computers you own". (I'll see if I can find the actual topic).

However, the requirement of unique CD keys prohibits this (some might even class this as DRM...). I was just wondering if anyone had already asked GoG about this scenario. I'll log a request for a key and ask them about it, report my findings back here :)

Thanks

EDIT: Aha, here it is: http://www.gog.com/en/support/website_help/downloads_and_games
Can I install one game both on my laptop and desktop PC at home?
Yes. We do not limit the number of installations or reinstallations, as long as you install your purchased games on PCs in your household. So yeah, if you've got a render-farm in the basement, you might actually break the world record for the number of legal Fallout installations in one household. However, if you think about installing your game on a friend's PC or sharing it with others then please don't do it, okay?

Holiday in Poland, businesses are closed today. You might not get your answer until at least tomorrow.
Even though I am very happy for this new release on NWN it is a shame really that multiplayer had to bite the dust a little bit again.

To all thoose waiting for CD-keys I can just say...despair not...it will come...and thoose waiting for something good can never wait too long...
I am waiting for my cd key as well. I also opened up a general discussion forum about cd keys. Its a real shame this isn't an automatic procedure with GOG as it is with every other major digital distributor. Fix this GOG!
SOLVED!! But i still don't have my key, whats up?
Anybody receive their MP key from GOG?

Some of those that submitted their requests before the start of the long weekend (Monday was a holiday in Poland) have received them, but most are still waiting. They should start showing up for everybody else tomorrow morning.
I requested both my and my GFs Cd Keys in just minutes after the solution was given to me. I received my CD-Key the day after, she is till waiting.

I have to concur with the general sentiment here as well, this really needs to be an automated system. If there is no reaction to this problem from GOG, I think it'll be my last purchase here, since 90% of the games I buy are meant for co-op.
Completly agree with that. Send in two requests already, one before the weekend.. one in the weekend. Still no replies.

Then I read they don't work in the weekend or on mondays, but still.. this system doesn't work well. If I order a game online the big advantage is that you can play immediatly and at will. (After the install, ofc.)
And I obviously only play the multiplayer.. it's why I bought it. To have to wait this long and hear others somehow got it already, while some don't. That's not a great service.

Would appreciate it if this could be fixed or at least a more efficient service.
still no key for me.
Just curious -- I want to play co-op, but could care less about playing online. That's why I was excited to see the "run your own server" option, as it would allow LAN parties.

Has anybody tried this? Does the game as shipped work as multiple clients into a local personal server? It seems possible that the personal server might allow duplicate keys, but I just don't know, and I haven't really seen anybody talking about the personal server option.

I'd like to be able to host game nights without having to buy a separate copy for every guest, since they wouldn't be playing except when they're here. I have a lot of computers myself, and would only be installing the game on my machines, not theirs.

It is not possible to play on one server with the same keys. Although you can use, well... keygen, and block authentification servers with firewall, to exclude possibility of using someone's else cd-key and thus blocking him from logging online (or the owner of that cd-key blocking you). And play over (virtual) LAN.

What's the address to block for the authentication servers?
