When I was customizing my character, I tried to change the hair color or something. All the textures from the body (skin, hair etc) just changed to this silver mirror like texture. No matter what I have tried both in game and drivers, my hero doesn't change back to normal. He looks like the evil terminator from terminator 2 when he was in changing form eh form.

Is there something I missed?

Vista 64, Radeon 6850.

There is indeed something you missed, the critical rebuild will fix it, get it here: http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch_english.html

Actually the first patch shown there is not for the diamond edition, but it's not exactly difficult to find it there.

Anyway, it works and I can finally see my character's skin, in all the ash color glory lol.
Thanks.
Thanks a lot Hugehead!!! NWN was showing graphical bugs and ran like crap but once i patched the game with the critical rebuild fix everything was as it should be, it's just too bad gog didn't prepatched the game before uploading it :/
I wish this was the only problem with the game.
As soon as I got outside the eh, outside to town, everything slowed down. When I went to the district where the prison is, it was even worse. When there were battles it was almost funny watching the hits etc registering and then a second or two later watching the animation causing it. All at reduced frame rate.
It became even more "funny" when the game just crashed with an error at the exe.

As far as my experience with the game is concerned, it should never see the light of goglight.

It was a waste of my money.

Oh well...

could you please post your system specs, we may be able to help you still.
Thanks, but,I have uninstalled the game, but if you want my system's specs, sure:

XFX AMD 6850 Catalyst 10.10
Asus P5Q-WS
Realtek 1200

Giasou :)

Looking at your system the most likely explanations for slowdown are old realtek sound drivers (NWN and realtek have never got on that well), OR changing the setting for the catayst AI. Mine is on standard, but experimenting with it is the key.

Also, as it is vista, go to your nwn install and find the nwnplayer.ini and change client CPU affinity to -2. (it opens with notepad).

One of those will likely fix this very common issue.

Good Luck :)

Σ'ευχαριστώ, I am going to keep this in mind for the next time I install the game. :)
