The small font in NWN1 was giving me a headache at 1920x1080, so I found the BetterFont1 mod on the Neverwinter Nexus and downloaded it. I extracted everything to the override folder like the readme says, but nothing changed. What am I doing wrong?

@Praetorian815 check if the override folder is in the right place (it should be inside the main game folder, i.e. the one containing a file called chitin.key) and that you are putting the single files of the mod (e.g. fnt_dialog.tga, fnt_dialog.txi, etc.) directly inside override and not inside a subfolder of override.

Everything is where it should be. The override folder is in the main game folder. I put the files in that folder, which also has a bunch of files that start with ls_car. The override folder doesn't even have any subfolders.

Is your game installed to Program Files? If so, that's why. You should never install games to Program Files, because Windows does not allow that protected structure to be modified, especially by games, and so ghosts it's data files to a virtual folder.

No, it's not in Program Files. It's in a "Games" folder on an external drive.

Edit: Okay, I'm an idiot. I took some comparison screenshots to make sure, and it turns out that the mod was working; it just wasn't making as much of a difference as I had expected, so I thought it wasn't working. The thing is that it doesn't seem to affect the size of the dialogue font. The character's name is bigger, but the dialogue itself is the same size. Does it make a difference whether or not I use the "high res font" from the options menu?
