Now I'm not very computer savy so bear with me, so I insalted the game and the launcher comes up. I hit play and for some odd reason, nothing happens. I wish I could I give more info, I just have no clue what is going on.

Try launching from "nwmain" instead of "nwn", it's in the same game folder.
Also, the game should be installed somewhere else than in the "programs folder".

System:
Windows7 Ultimate 64
