i was actually looking for a post like this before i posted. when i had the hard copy i could access the tool set from the main menu, but with this copy i cant find the option, where is it located?

Really? It's not on the main menu? Check your installation folder and see if there's a nwtoolset.exe file.
It's not on the game menu, it's on the launcher menu. If you have Vista you are probably bypassing the launcher in which case you want to open it from your install folder as per Coelocanth's post.

The toolset might be a little scary looking when it first opens, but it's so simple a child can use it. Here's a first class tutorial that you'll be able to complete in an evening, and when you're done you'll have a nice little town/dungeon already started that you can easily flesh it out into a full mod when you're done.

If you don't know anything about scripting (NWN Script is a programming language very similar to C) download this, too.

The bioware social community is still very active. If you have any problems/questions go to the NWN forums there and ask. The veteran builders will be happy to help.

ohhhhhhhhh it is too! my bad.. lol.. i never really looked at the launch screen, i just hit t he play button automatically. thank you so much :)
