OldGameLuver: When I start the GOG version of the game it says that it is 1.69. Is the 1.69 patch that you list a different build?
Sort of. I don't know if they ever updated it, but right after NWN was released on GOG, the installer was missing a few files. You would know almost immediately if your copy is affected, because you wouldn't be able to change any of the default colors without turning your character's skin/hair metallic gray.

I can confirm that as of four days ago this is correct, and the GOG version is incomplete. I would presume a manual patch is necessary.
Until you see the downloadable game files increase from a total ~2.1GB to ~2.4GB, this will continue to be the case.
Is GOG aware of this problem? Why is the GOG version broken?
I sent them a report of the problem (incomplete game data files) a while back but received no reply. As to why, only the staff would know (and they are quite absent on this board so far).
