OK, I bought a copy of nwn diamond edition from gog. I tried multiplayer and got the classic "CD keys in use message" Asked gog for a multiplayer keys and they sent me my keys. I followed the instructions gog gave me, to the letter. My one prob now is I can't seem to play any of the premium modules online with my friend and vice versa (note I've had the premium module prob pre multiplayer keys as well, so I don't think its gog fault) I can play the premium modules offline with no prob... it's only when trying to play them online the prob accrues. I did some google searches for an answer and came across a forum thread that said the premium modules have been discontinued, so my question is, does anyone know for sure if this is true and if so would that have taken away the ability for the premium modules to be played online with friends?

Can you play them over a LAN rather than over the internet? If so, you can use Hamachi to make the game think you're playing on a LAN when you're actually playing over the internet with friends who also have Hamachi installed.
Questions:
Are you talking about the premium modules that shipped with NWN?

If they are the ones that shipped with NWN, Does the person you are tring to play with also have the modules installed. The Premium modules are not like the community made modules where only the server need to have the module. THey will have to be installed on both computers.

Question: Do both you and your friend have a different set of CD-Keys.

CD-Keys are not valid for more then one person to use in on line play at a time.

Now if you are playing over a local net work you could try the suggestions in the thread linked below.

Yes I'm talking about the premium modules that shipped with the game (Kingmaker, Witch's Wake, Shadow Guard)

My friend and I have different keys for sure. we e-mailed gog to get our multiplayer keys, so we have that covered. It's not that. When ever we try any other module other then the 3 stated, we connect online, but when it comes to the 3 stated we get a long winded message from bio or Atari that says the CD keys are not authorized. Now keep in mind we both got the same e-mail that told us to put the new cd keys where the old was and to also download and install the "re-nstall" from our account... we did all that and those 3 premiums wont play online, only offline.
Try going to "My Account" click on NWN and download the "Premium Modules Re-Installer" that might fix it.

Don't use the server, start a MP game from within the game itself and it should work if you both have the module and different product keys.

And the guy in that thread linked to here was/is a bit of a bonehead.
Ahh, So BoneHead I am now.
