As the title said, NWN refuses to start. I've installed it and after loading the menu and clicking on play, a brief glimps of the NWN logo and then nothing. No error, no nothing. I also noticed that loading it as an Admin, it will load but as soon as i click anywhere, it crashes.

Try starting the game with main.exe* -- running as admin. And of course, make sure it's installed in an unprotected area (not c:\program files\)

* if memory serves me, it's main.exe. If there is no main.exe, it's another .exe that will run the game directly without going through the menu where you choose to Play, DM Client, Toolset, etc.
For some reason NWN has problems in Win7 if you're not running it as an administrator, which you can't do if you're trying to launch the game through the default launcher (which is what the shortcut the GOG installer creates goes to). Find the install directory (and make sure it's installed outside of Program Files), then find nwmain.exe and run this as an administrator. This will launch the game directly and it shouldn't have any problems (or if it does have problems then those will be different problems).
I had to set as administrator AND set to XP (SP 3) compatibility and it worked for me.
It's one of my favourite games and when I downloaded it I couldn't wait to play it again. However at this rate it doesn't seem like it's going to happen, I've tried all of the solutions found in the forums and not a single one has worked yet. :(
Install DX9 in addition to your DX10. Also, try setting the game to run on 1 core.
