My apologies if this has been answered, but I couldn't find a thread about this...

So, since installing the GOG version of NWN 2 on my Windows 7 machine, I've not been able to use the launcher to boot the game up. Everytime I try, the launcher comes up, I select an option (either the normal one or DM client) , a loading splash screen comes up and....then nothing. It just goes away. No game starts.

I worked around this before and managed to get the base game running with some wierd exe fix that I've forgotten by now, but that only brings the base game up. Now, I need to access the DM client, but I can't. I've tried that -dmc shortcut fix listed online, but it doesn't work.

So....can someone tell me how to get the darn loader t o work right, and failing that, how to boot up the DM client somehow?
I had the same problem with my Vista machine. I never did find a fix for it.

You can still access your DM client.

Make a shortcut to "nwmain.exe" then manually change the properties so it maps to "nwmain.exe -dmc" instead. For most installs the complete path should be:
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe -dmc
Thanks for the suggestion urknighterrant, but I tried that several times, it kept saying it didn't map anywhere : ( .

Strangely enough though, a second Reinstall worked.... and I'm starting to think this one patch for the GOG version of NWN 2 is what makes the game bug out, because I forgot to install that, yet everything seems fine now.
