Windows 7 Ultimate 64
Intel I7 @3.07 6.00 GB ram
Geforce GTX 580 video

My copy of NWN2 on cd works fine. I bought this strictly for convenience and for westgate.
The program integrity checks out, it installs fine, but when i try to play it all i get is a black screen and then it force minimizes itself to the taskbar. I have tried all compatible options, reinstalling forcing admin privileges. Any help would be appreciated.

The Nvidia Control Panel settings may be the problem, particularly if you've not updated them from the disc version. Try deleting and then re-adding the profile for NWN2 (pointing it at the GOG .exe which will be in a different folder if you accepted the installer defaults).

Thanks for the hint. Yeah I had even tried that as well. I fixed this by downloading some new codecs CCCP codec pack. All works fine now.
