You can only have up to 4 classes per char.
Fighter gives you (normal, greater and epic) weapon specialization and focus.
You want to hit often and this damage is multiplied on a critical hit (you are a weapon master too).

A rogue makes damage mostly through sneak attacs. Lots of enemies are immun to this (e.g. undead) and even when they are not, you have to attac out of stealth, the target is stunned or it attacs somebody else.

All enemies that are immun to sneak attacs are also immun to critical hits ( and vice versa).

Reject051: I decided to go with the second linked "Kensai" build and it's working out nicely so far. Thanks to everyone for their input.

Right now I'm at level 6, about to go up to 7, and I was wondering if it's viable to put one level in Rogue before continuing on with the rest of the build? I want to be able to put skill points into the Rogue class skills so I don't have to rely exclusively on Neeshka for the whole game on stuff like disabling traps and locks.

I used the build editor to test it out and it looks like it won't affect the build progression much (other than sacrificing Great Dexterity + 3 at level 30), but will I still be able to retain the Rogue class affinity for skills like Disable Device and Open Lock after I switch back to Fighter/Tempest/Champion of the Wild? When I tested switching from Fighter to Rogue I saw that I no longer had an affinity for Craft Armor.
A few things to point out:

First of all, Mask of the Betrayer often ends around level 25 unless you actually farm for XP in areas with respawning enemies. You are highly unlikely to actually reach the level cap.

Second of all, unless you pick up the "able learner" feat, a couple level of rogues is going to be very temporary in terms of how far into the game it takes you. You'll get more mileage out of the evasion ability than you will out of your skills.
I have finished MotB once. I played the OC and exported the char to MotB. I got level 21.5 at the start of MotB and was level 30 brfore the end. I did not grind, but usually I search everything and try to do every quest.

Right now I play MotB with a new char. There you start at level 18.5. I choose an grey orc monk, so I am 1 level behind. I am level 22 and in the middle of chapter 2.
