FIXED: I set the resolution to my native res using the nwconfig.exe. Not gonna delete, in case anyone else has theis problem.

I bought this today as part of the D&D pack and when I installed it and tried to play it, the screen just goes black and says that it stopped working.
I tried the DX10 fix on the tech support section, but nothing.
What should I try?

I'm getting an immediate crash on trying to start this game up also. Tried:

1) Launching game from Galaxy client.
2) Launching game from Start menu, both normal and safe mode.
3) Opened up a command prompt, tried running nwn.exe, nwloader.exe, nwmain.exe

All crash, however the loader starts up before eventually launching the game which crashes. No error messages or useful info. I tried changing the resolution with nwconfig.exe also which had no effect.

If you haven't had this problem resolved, then try installing the June 2010 DirectX runtime package. That should solve your launching issues.

Thanks, I'll add that to my local Wiki page for troubleshooting this game and try it next time I'm testing.
