It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Today I downloaded this game and after picking race and few other things I'm not able to see appearence of my character.
I've patched to version 1.69, few days ago I updated graphic drivers.

This person I think has the same problem as you?

Make sure you have up to date video card drivers.

If you have ATI, this is apparently how they got it working:

I was fiddling around in my driver/CCC settings and noticed that while my Anistropic filtering was set to application controlled there was an option for "Enable high qualigy Anistropic Filtering" when I enabled it the character models worked again!
If that doesn't work for you, I suggest trying all the other things mentioned in what I linked.

Thanks, I found out that "enviromental mapping on creatures" caused the problem. ^^

Just install the last patch which can be found b a little google search and that should fix it up no problem. There are a few bugs that just reinstalling the last patch fixes up one being hair color selection.

Here is a link to the patch you need

The patch didn't work so I created this topic. ;-)
Nevermind, I'm ok without the enabled mapping. The main thing is that I can see my character now.

Late reply - I'm new to the GOG scene...

Anyway, I fixed this by messing around with the "Texture Quality" in the Video Options. Sometimes it works right away, and sometimes I need to change the "graphics quality" slider to make it "take".

But, I can get it to work, and since I only really need to do it once per character, I don't really mind futzing with it until it works. I just create a dummy character first to see if it's working.

Later!
Jeff.
