In any other version of NWN, from the original to Diamond, simply adding new portrait TGA files to the 'portraits' folder updates the portraits list in the game at character creation. Same goes for adding new textures to the 'texturepacks' folder, mods to the 'hak' folder.

however, for some reason, none of these files are recognized in NWN: Enhanced Edition and are not accessible in the game.
Yes, I made sure they are not populating sub-folders such as portraits/portraits.

Any help on customizing the portraits, texturepacks, etc in NWN: Enhanced Edition would be greatly appreciated.

I will monitor for any requests for screen caps to help illuminate the issue, too.

Thanks!

I don't own the Enhanced Edition but maybe you are not putting the files in the right folders.

As far as I know, in Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition all custom contents should be placed in the corresponding subfolder in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Neverwinter Nights\, not in the game's installation folder.
Correct.

That's what I'm doing, but NWN ENhanced does not recognize the additional content in the subfolder for some reason.

Perhaps the custom portraits are not in the correct size or format. This guide may help you.
I appreciate the post!
but I am not creating my own custom portraits, just importing existing portraits from NWN Diamond into the \portraits folder in NWN Enhanced.
Found the answer:
For some reason NWN Enhanced does not used the native folders.

Instead it's looking for content in username/documents/nenverwinternights

Moved my extra content to the appropriate folders, and it appears to have detected the extra portraits.

Issue resolved.

This is what I said in my first post: "all custom contents should be placed in the corresponding subfolder in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Neverwinter Nights\".
Hooray. I did that, and the portraits show up.

however, the game still appears to be missing features: the radial menu for armor/weapon crafting is severely limited to either adding a robe, or only adjusting the shoulders and arms. All of which do not work, it fails to load any textures when moving through the options.
I cheated and upped my INT to 50 for the extra skill points to blow on armor and weapon crafting, just to test if it is a skill issue.
I cannot add a robe to the armor.
I don't even see options in armor crafting for helmets or anything else other than shoulders and arms.
