I'm being really dim, I'm sure, but how can I play the OC via the internet with my mate? We've got our multiplayer keys and that's all sorted. We can join servers such as at nwnserverlist.com. I just can't work out how to play the OC! I presume that one of us would have to host the game? I'd be hugely grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as my Google-Fu seems to have failed :@

If this is a private game between friends, you shouldn't need to use any services.

Step 1 - the host must configure his router to enable port forwarding
Step 2 - get the host's IP address
Step 3 - have both players "log in" to multiplayer (authentication will fail; proceed anyways), and have the host create a game
Step 4 - have everyone joining the game select the "direct connect" option, using the host's IP address

You can also connect through GameRanger service. Worked for me.
