Hey, I just read that you received some special items from the two different special editions of NWN2. Is there anywhere to get these still?

Do you mean the items from the preorder, and Lawful Good and Chaotic Evil editions? Those are still in the game. You need two feats to unlock the stores where you can buy them. The name of the feats are Merchant's Friend and Blessed of Waukeen. You can either get them via the givefeat code in the console (the number for the feats are 1764 and 1765) or by using Vordan's Hero Creator (talk to the imp and ask him to change your history).

The necessary merchants appear once certain points in the campaign are reached, starting at chapter two. One is located in the Docks (close to the point where you first appeared in Neverwinter), the next is at the Academy in the Blacklake District, and the last one is in Port Last (either the weapon or the armor smith, I can never remember which one).

To be honest, though, the items aren't that great. You can get much better stuff from crafting. Still, it is nice to have additional merchants so can get rid of all the unnecessary loot you can find. The +1 to all saves from Blessed of Waukeen doesn't hurt either.
erm , if u have the feat or not the merchants are always there,.But if u have the merchant 's friend feat , they have an additional dialog option ;-)

Some items are quite usefull , especially the ranged weapons with infinite ammo., But i agree most of the extra stuff ain't needed.

You say the feats have to be entered can't they be dine via quests ingame or do you have to cheat or mod to get them?

No, using the cheat or the mod are the only options to get them now.

either the ~ key.

or

press alt gr + 7 and alt gr + 8 (i use this with my keyboard layout (FR)) -> 7 & 8 ARE NOT the numpad keys.

but before this u need u have your main character selected. (right click on your character)

then in the console ; (feat 1764 = merchant's friend )
debugmode 1
givefeat 1764
debugmode 0

close the conoole with the same key(s) u used to bring it.

however for the blessed of waukeen u don't need to do this , with the patch 1.05+ u get it by default if u create your character.

Sure , u could still use a mod , but if it's just for this .... the console is far enough.

I imagine you originally just got the Merchant's Friend feat when making a new character though. Does anyone know how it works? Was it an override file? The GOG version really should include this by default :).
There is also a MotB pre-order bonus item:

debugmode 1
giveitem nx1_blessing_mystra 1
debugmode 0

It allows you to enchant a weapon (only once) with:
- Immunity: Illusion
- True Seeing
- +1d6 Magical Damage

Or just keep it around for a +2 will.
Pretty damn sweet!
Putting the following files in your Override folder, will give you to get the Merchant's Friend feat in the OC and the Mystra's Blessing item in MotB.

I've send a ticket to GoG with this info.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but is there any chance you would reload that RAR if you still have it? Thanks in advance.

All 3 are now in the GoG version.
