Hello Community,

Back around 2008, I bought the Diamond Edition, and I spent a good deal of time researching the utterly massive amount of content available for NWN. I've since had to purge that PC entirely and was unfortunate enough to lose both that copy of the game and ALL my NWN files.

So, I just want to be sure that I'm getting all the content I can:

1: A friend recently mentioned that the other premium modules went free sometime back in 2010. I've searched but I can't find a link -- not even on the Bioware site (though, admittedly, it's entirely possible I simply didn't look hard enough). I would be forever grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

2. I know that there is an enormous amount of user-generated content for the game. I think there were 2 major hakpaks? CEP was one? Was there something else massive that I'm missing. I've been to the NWN vault, but it's just not very clear what you're getting there unless you've spent a lot of time in the community. I found a liink for versions 2.3/2.4, but the vault only seems to host 2.1

Clarification on this, please...

3. I've requested my CD Keys already. With that said, I used to play on a persistent player world that upgraded to NWN2 called The Hall of Worlds. And I really enjoyed my time on a couple of other persistent worlds.

I'm really looking for something truly epic this time around, though. HoW was great, but it was essentially a dungeon crawl without much story. Any suggestions on high magic worlds that prioritize story and are relatively authentic to the DnD universe at large?

Thanks so much in advance!

As far as I'm aware, they're not free, but there are links in This Thread on the BioWare Social Network to re-DL them if you purchased them from the BioWare store.

This is the latest CEP version. The DL you want is at the bottom of the list (CEP_24_a.rar)

Another popular and massive community made project was the PRC (Player Resource Consortium). Links to get the files are Here.

I play on a server from time to time called World of Greyhawk, but it's an action server and not high magic. If you're interested in it, you can find their forums Here.

The Premium modules are still available and they are free now. They will try to authenticate, but just be patient. In a minute or two the authentication will fail and the game will open normally.

Here are the links

If you downloaded diamond edition from GOG you already have Kingmaker, Witches Wake (which BTW is AWESOME, but it's only a demo and was never completed so don't get too hooked into it), and and ShadowGuard. I included the links for folks who may have older editions of the game.

My personal favorite is Wyvern Crown of Cormyr. I also strongly recommend Darkness over Daggerford and Adam Millers Shadowlords-Dreamcatcher-Demon series. Unfortunately only the Adam Miller campaign is MP compatible.

The CEP is the only hack you really need. 2.4 is the current version and is backwards compatible to 2.0. You may need to download older versions to play some older mods. Most other hacks are module specific. Depending on your tastes you might want to consider the D20 Modern hacks.

While I'm bit of a broken record tooting my own hoot, I'd recommend glancing through this thread.

Very cool. Thanks for the heads up.

Aye, thanks for the clarification. +1
http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/ is (or, at least, was) the best place to find story-rich DnD experiences. A PW is fun, but you can get a lot more attention from a weekly-run DnD session.
