I am a level 10 assassin/level 7 rogue. I am playing the single player and have gotten all the way to the inner sanctum. I spoke to Morag and then fought the enemies shes summons. So now all I have to fight is her which I can't because I have to kill some of the guys behind the spike trap. I know I have to destroy the statue to disable the trap. The problem is that the game doesn't let me destroy the statue. I have tried sword, mace, axe , short sword, rapier and all say weapon ineffective cannot harm object. My henchman unfortunately is Linu and I can't get her to bash the statue. I have gotten her to fire arrows at the enemies behind the spike trap but that doesn't work. Is there anything I can do that will allow me to continue this game or have I missed something in the past that doesn't allow me to complete the game? This is very frustrating since I am right at the end.

Additionally I have had problems with this game. It crashes after startup and I have to load it up 3-5 times until it goes all the way through. Any help I would greatly appreciate it. I just want to beat the game and go on to the expansion packs.
Does the statue have damage reduction? I can't recall now, but check the battle log to see if it does. Perhaps you need to step up your damage output, which can be done by Bull's Strength potions, spells, or other methods.
Yeah it does have damage reduction. I have tried all of the weapons that i currently have in my inventory with the use of bull's strength and I still can't break it. usually when I had this problem I would start to bash it and have my henchmen attack the nearest but Linu wont't do that. I usually use the monk and I got stuck with Linu after I used her at the end of Chapter 3. Unfortunately all of my saves are inside the inner sanctum and I cannot use the stone of recall. So I think that I am stuck in this level and won't be able to complete the game.

How do I get Linu to cast a spell on me or how do I tell her to attack the statue because usually she can break it with no problem. Thanks for the help.

I finally beat Morag. I was just going over my inventory and I found 6 potions of lore which I thought that I did not have. One of my ideas was to identify the two short swords that I go from killing Morag's minions in the inner sanctum. I think I got the short swords from Morag's hand or I could have got them earlier in the level from the warriors or the cleric. I am not sure. Anyway one of them was a short sword with electrical damage and the other one had sonic damage. I equipped both of them because I have two weapon fitting and weapon finesse. I then started to destroy the statue. Obviously Morag attacked me and I used an attack of opportunity and all of a sudden I saw barely injured. Then I started to attack Morag and she went down easily. I couldn't do physical damage or electrical damage. The sonic damage of about 6 every strike is what took her down. Man I was so lucky that I found 2 potions of lore in my bag. I wanted to test these weapons before but I guess I didn't see that I had the potions of lore. Thanks for all of the help and responses.

Awesome! Sorry I wasn't more help on this. It's been so long since I've played through the campaign that my memory is pretty spotty on that battle. I even looked up a couple walkthroughs, but they didn't help my creaking old brain cells much.

Anyway, glad you got through it. Enjoy the expansions (they're better than the original game).
