Everybody seems hostile to me (ok, almost everybody, including Aribeth and Aarin Gend) in Chapter 2 of the OC.

I've encountered this problem a couple of times before, but loading a previous save always corrected it. Now I have tried to load 10 previous saves and all of them have this bug. I don't know how could this happen. But now I'm stuck.

Anybody can help? I've searched the web and tried to play with the console (dm_setfactionreputation) but this particular function does not seem to work (Actually I suppose it's just me not knowing how to use it).

Dying will take care of most of the factions. Aribeth, Aarin Gend and anyother plot creature are another matter all together You will have to reset them via the consol, Unfortunatly the SetFactionRep functions dont work worth a flip with the consol. So I would sugest that you download the script I wrote awhile back for someone else that had the same problem.

You may have to be logged onto BSN in order to download it from the Bioware Social Networks Project page.

Here is the Project page.

And here is a direct download link.
http://social.bioware.com/bw_projects_file_download.php?project_file_id=9167

Directions for use.

This script when ran will make the Closest hostile creatue friendly. Place it in your override directory, then restart the game. At the chat line type. ##DebugMode 1 < enter> ##dm_runscript piece < enter> ##DebugMode 0 < enter>

If my bad grammer with the file name bothers you, you can always rename it once it is unzipped in your override folder.

Thx. I haven't tried your script yet, but dying does not seem to change anything. So I suppose I will instead restart the chapter with my character (I'd managed to get only one level up,so it should not be such a big deal).

Thanks for the help.
I've recently had this same trouble. It seems to have happened at some point on either the first or second floor of the Hosttower. I have no idea what triggered it. I only discovered that the merchants went hostile MUCH later, when I decided to pop back to town to unload. I was on the seventh floor of the tower, by then. Ugh. Luckily, all the other quests have been completed, and the people in the Temple of Tyr still seem to like me. I haven't tried dying and respawning as a solution, but I may give it a try just to see if it works.

I'm really curious as to what caused the problem, though. I never attacked anybody who wasn't attacking me first. It's very odd...
