"Please specify the location of part 2 and click ok
by default the files should be placed in the am folder as the installer. please click browse and specify the correct path"

so i press ok because they are in the same folder and i get this message

" The file could not be located in the installer's folder. please make sure that the file is in the correct folder, specify its current location."

please help me if you can thank you

Please post the exact file path and filenames that you have (all of them).
I have the exact same problem (over a year later). I've never downloaded a game before, and have no idea what I'm doing. Could somebody please tell me what to do in the simplest terms?

Thank you

Please answer the same question I asked the original poster (above).
After posting, I discovered the GOG installer. It seems to have bypassed the problems, and has now downloaded.

However, I now can't find the game, and I don't know what to do next. I'm sorry I'm being so stupid, but could you possibly tell me what I need to do to play the game?

Many thanks

You mean you can't find the downloaded setup files? In the GOG downloader, press 'settings', and the download location will be shown (Save downloads to:), and you can change the location to suit you.

Remember not to install the game (or any game) to Program Files. Use a custom install, and install to somewhere like C:\Games\ .
Thank you, I followed your advice and found it! It was in documents for some reason. I clicked on the file and it seems to have started an automatic installation.

I'm hoping this will be the end of the story, and I can play the game.

Thank you!

I'm not a PC pro, why is it bad to install to Program Files? I'm probably going to do a fresh OS install soon and want to make sure I do it best. Thanks!

Because Program Files is a protected folder structure, and data cannot be written to it after install (things like configurations, save games and other data). Windows ghosts any such data in a virtual store, and this confuses many games that try to place data there. For this reason you should get into the habit of *never* allowing games to be installed there.
