Hi guys, me and my friend recently got this game, we are using the Client extension thing, so we can both see games online. But we want to make one, and I want my friend to host, problem is, his game never appears online or on LAN, we are currently in same house but plan to play from our separate houses. If I host he can see me in LAN but not internet, we both have post online ticked. He is trying to use Hamachi (tunngle is not working) and we have managed a connection but I cannot see his game even after getting all of that working. Does anyone have any idea how we can get this working????
An answer I found you can try :

"
Go into the multiplayer menu.

(pro-tip, the master authorization server was taken down, so add the following two entries into your hosts file "/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts"

0.0.0.0 nw2master.bioware.com

0.0.0.0 nwn2.master.gamespy.com

and instead of waiting 2 minutes for the time out, it will time out instantly)

If you are hosting, New game (or load game for subsequent play throughs) just set up your server once, and it keeps the settings from then on.

To join, just use the direct connect button, and type in the IP directly. No virtual LAN required."
------

I remember I had problems too, but you can try to launch the game after disabled your firewall (windows or an other) sometimes it helps.
I just literally played NWN (we both use GOG.com release) with a buddy and family using Hamachi 10 minutes ago. My buddy is not in the same house.
Just to make sure
1. Are you and your friends in the same network in Hamachi?
2. Have you both set hamachi's network adapter priority into the first priority?
Also I assume you aware that Hamachi is emulating LAN in online. I ticked OFF the "post online" as it usually related to Internet, not LAN.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yea we already tried hat with hamachi, doesnt like us :(

But yeah, the solution worked Shia! Thanks very much! Before the Direct connect screen just froze, so that worked, then server timed out so with some port forwarding (which is a whole other story) we got it working :D And my friend had 8 constitution and 3 hp... huzzah....

nw2master.bioware.com and nwn2.master.gamespy.com is for nwn 2. For the orignial nwn you need the following two lines (of course you could put in all 4):

0.0.0.0 nwmaster.bioware.com
0.0.0.0 nwn.master.gamespy.com
