Hey I need some help from people who are playing this. I am trying to install the files as follows:

INSTALLATION
NOTE: More detailed installation instructions are included with the download.
1.Remove all content from your Override directory in both you install directory and your My Documents Directory (...Program Files/Atari/Neverwinter Nights 2/override AND Libraries/Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/override)
2.Place all 6 .RAR files into your Neverwinter Nights 2 My Documents directory (Libraries/Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2). Use "Extract All" on all 6 parts
3.Select "Yes" to merge all folders
4.The installation is now complete. To play Baldur's Gate: Reloaded, launch the game normally and select "New Campaign -> Baldur's Gate: Reloaded". Enjoy!

I am using XP. What is meant by 'merge files' ? I can't just overwrite the old files with the BGR files as my installations of all the other campaigns etc will obviously be compromised.

Also about 'NOTE: More detailed installation instructions are included with the download.'

I didn't find jack notes with the download, except the above mentioned ones. Any ideas?

"Merge folders" - just means that they have 6 different RARs that use the same folder structure and you want to include all the files NOT replace the folder with a new one.
E.g. they have "Hak\file1" in one RAR and "Hak\file2" in another one - so unzipping them to the same folder you end up with one Hak folder containing file1 and file2.
It's an option in unzipping programs - if you get "overwrite?" then click "yes to all"

Official campaigns aren't affected (AFAIK) - it *might* affect some downloaded modules if the expected overrides aren't in the override folder anymore (though they included many popular override haks etc in the BGR download (or so they say, I've only just got NWN2 myself)).

I think that was the only real complaint (other than a few bugs) - that you had to clear both override folders first for it to work.

cheers man. The reason why I asked about 'merge' is because I don't get that option in Windows Xp, probably because it's an outdated OS. It only asks me if I want to overwrite them, but if I do, it will overwrites the entire folders, so if I have "Hak\file1" in one RAR from BGR and "Hak\file2" in NWN2 folder, I'll end up with ONLY the BGR folder containing the "Hak\file1" file as the whole NWN2 folder containing "Hak\file2" will obviously be overwritten, since both folders have the same name but each contain different files.

I think I just neet to cut and paste the content of each BGR folder into each respective NWN2 folders and I think I should be set, right? I already checked the override folders, they are all empty

I'm running Xp too - merge folders is the default for me (it asks to overwrite but it only overwrites files with the same name - folders get merged.
Give it a try on a test folder (make 2 folders with the same name - copy 2 different files into them, then drop one folder in the same directory as the other - see if you end up with both files (you should).

Edit: Though if that doesn't work then manually putting the files in the right folders will work too - the above is just easier

I just copied and pasted the content of each individual folders. It's working now. I don't know of this 'merge' feature, never seen it before. The game looks amazing compared to the standard version. It's stupidly hard, though, the whole party gets killed all the time with a couple of blows, even at the easy level. I tried to learn how to do the cheats but I can't find the Baldur.ini file. But the game looks fantastic. Cheers

You don't need a Baldur.ini file.
You use NWN2 debug codes.

brilliant, I'll try that, cheers
When I merge all the folders in override and go to start a new campaign, i see BGR listed 4 or 5 times. I tried loading the first two but the first one errors (can't find a module file) and the second one hangs. I gave up as this all seemed wrong and I didn't like the disappearance of all the campaigns that came with the GOG game.

Anyone else seen this behavior?

Ah, because you don't unrar into overrides :) Things look right now that I've extracted into the root nwn2 directory.
