It's for sale on Steam. Meaning the purchase needs to be made there in order to buy / download it. Are there plans for it to be released on GOG / the publisher's (or developer's) website?

Dont know if its actual download or steam key but if actual download its can be compatible with gog version. Someone need to check.

This DLC is only for the Steam version of the game. Please backup the original files of your Steam executable folder before overwriting with the contents of this DLC. Restart the game after overwriting the file and enjoy the fully uncensored and uncut version of Ne no Kami. Be mindful of other users on Steam and refrain from posting artwork and screenshots of adult situations or imagery in the Steam community.
Not helpful... :/ - though that it wants users to backup files makes it seem like it's a file overwrite that *should* work on non-Steam versions...
I will purchase to try out when I have some cash for the game... :/

Getting a little upset here that GOG is now selling stuff that is illegal in my region, and unethical in general. What the heck is going on here? This is kiddie porn.

If you don't like it then ignore it. But don't preach morals to me.
They are loli (only Len i think) not kiddies (well, i have friends (girls) of mine which looking are like underaged teen girls but they are 25ys+ old and even has own kiddies now). So if you see tiny girls they are not always underaged.

And i think its some of discrimination if there will be only heroines with big boobs\height in adult games.

You could look for a better region. Or campaign to have your region's laws changed. Thankfully the rest of us need not care about thy absurd legislation.

and unethical in general.
Ethics are rather arbitrary, especially as it pertains to works of fiction. Turns out there's no such thing as ethics in general. Turns out people generally have no issues with works of fiction that portray scenes and actions they may find unethical. For example, just about every hollywood action movie ever contains one or more of: violence, murder, lying, theft, cursing, adultery, prostitution, even rape. Just check what's on TV after 10pm.. I don't like it, but hey I'm not running around telling people these works are unethical. I play violent games too.

This is kiddie porn.
I doubt this is porn, AIUI GOG does not sell pornography.

Also it's hard to take it seriously when people call illustrated fictional works "child porn". There's a reason child porn is illegal, and that is because its production involves child abuse, a crime with victims. There are no victims and nobody gets hurt or violated in the making of a scene with three-year-old paper clips fucking each other.

Bigs is right: if you don't like it, don't buy it. Some other people may like it, and that's fine, live and let live.

I believe a better course of action would be to contact Sekai directly. I can try to do that myself but it may take some time.

EDIT: https://sekaiproject.com/pages/contact-us Here is the contact form.
EDIT2: Asked them myself. Will update this post when/if i get a reply.

Cheers for that... was going to try the patch.. but getting the game (along with a few others *natch*) left me unable to purchase the DLC (I thought it was free... like the SSS one... :/)

I will get the patch to test soon as I can... but hopefully we'll hear something in the meantime.

Yea, kinda bizarre that uncensoring costs monies :(

I got the patch but so far I can't tell if it actually does anything.

"Hello *me* ,

Thank you for writing in. The patches on our site should work fine on the GOG version of the games.

Regards,
Denpasoft Support"

Nice and swift reply. Already liking those guys.
So there you have it. :)

Huh my comment got downvoted or whatever so much it was rendered almost invisible. I always find that ironic when I point out the law to people who seek out erotic images of children. The only regions I know where lolicon falls under child pornography law(s) are UK, Canada, and S. Korea. If I had to guess, I'd say that part of the law isn't so much about protecting kids as identifying the kind of people who might be interested in persuing kids outside of fictional settings. It doesn't get enforced much outside S. Korea, but the guy who was arrested and fined 3 times in a row for possessing anime and manga in the UK was made an example of. Despite my opinions on the ethics of lolicon, the law is the law. I won't make any attempts to change those laws, because the honeypot these games create is ingenious. I'd rather not see GOG start breaking those laws by distributing, though. You can censor this comment too, if you need to. Silencing people is becoming the anime lovers' weapon of choice in the face of criticism. If any GOG staffers are reading this, I recommend looking into the laws in the regions I mentioned before people start filing police reports.
Purchased the patches direct from the Denpasoft website (on sale for Lunar New Year at the moment) - seems to have worked on part one - not reached any CGs / scenes yet - but the main menu / gallery screens have changed to accommodate the 18+ scenes / CGs - so seems to be a-ok.

Glad to have been of assistance.

I don't see the "irony" here, but in any case this is a fantasy story with supernatural creatures and combat. The GOG version of the product doesn't depict any sex acts. Whatever is available on third-party sites is not their business.

Is GOG headquartered in any of those places? I don't believe so.

This is what is known as "thoughtcrime" and can be a concern under authoritarian regimes. Read 1984 for more info.

Oh, now I found the irony. The censorship advocate is complaining that the would-be victims aren't inclined to listen. ;_;
