I am planning on buying Myst I and II on GOG because I hear that the Steam versions are quite buggy. Is that also the case with Myst V, or does the GOG not have an advantage in this case? I am running Win 8.1 64-bit.

I purchased the GOG Myst bundle, an awesome deal, a few weeks ago but have yet to play Myst V (I just started Riven). I can only say that the biggest advantage is that it's not Stream. That alone should be enough for you to buy the GOG version.
