Mawthra: Check the in-game changelog... what does that date say?
avatar
Ulf2016: I can not find the in-game changelog with me.
It's on the main menu of the game
I just installed the patch and checked the changelog. The patch version shows up in game but it does not show in the changelog list, still shows the previous log only.

huan: Same as yours (screenshot on previous page of comments): 2019/01/28. I wanted to test it further, in case it was just the changelog that's broken. Let's pick something from hotfix 2:

Fixed the bug causing the customized storage name to change back to default after players have upgraded their storage.

huan: Surprise (NOT) - there is nothing to test. I can't upgrade my wooden box to metal at all. It's supposed to be available "by interacting with it while holding a Metal Storage in an active item slot", since patch 2.0.
Hi all!

I need to raise these issues with the team, so I just wanted to clarify the points raised...

- The in-game changelist does not match the one we have posted here
- Some changes listed do not appear in game (for example, upgrading to metal storage boxes)

Also, if you experience any issues with the latest build, please let our team know here: https://www.team17.com/support/

Those two points are correct, but the main point I think is really:

This does not at all seem to be the 2.0 build with hotfixes that's currently on Steam... I believe it's exactly what it says it is: 1.1.6521

AND to make matters WORSE... Steam just got a Hotfix 3 today :(

Agreed. After install, i ran into some small bugs, nothing game breaking( machines not turning off after finishing crafting and the like), but annoying none the less. I went back to my earlier install and will wait for the hotfixes, when ever that will be.

Have you spoken to them yet, Lauren? This game has been nothing but a nightmare of a release for us here on GOG and there seems to be no signs of it getting better. Really sad. We wait SO long to get updates, we get them and they're OLD builds... beyond frustrating.
Damn, I go LOA for a while and come back and the GoG version is still dragging behind? Why is this still a problem?

And before anyone says "It's harder to update on GoG" https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_is_it_truly_more_difficult_for_developers_to_update_their_games_on_gog/post71

No. So what is the dillio?
Hello!

Sorry for the delay. I've spoken with the team and it seems they're having some issues with the build. They're working to get this fixed now and will be looking to push this live on GOG next week.

I'd say... geez. PLEASE don't let them give us something already outdated on Steam... I've never felt so wronged by a developer before as I have by Panthea and this game
I appreciate the communication, Lauren. I know this isn't your fault.

But I will say that this is very frustrating. I'm beginning to be sorry I even bought this game if this is how the developers are treating us. The stark contrast between the treatment of their pet platform and others is blatant and insulting.

Sigh, can't wait until 3.0 comes out... maybe if we're very lucky our children or our children's children will be able to enjoy it.

Thanks for keeping us posted here, Lauren. Now I still don't quite understand the whole matter. Can you somewhat elaborate on the issues the devs are facing, specifically the GOG build? Not only would it be just interesting to know, but it might also help us to cope with this, sorry to say, utter mess of a release. Knowing why things don't quite work out for the GOG build may also help raising a bit of empathy for the devs again.
The devs know Steam well and little else, it seems... or they just don't really want to bother with anything but Steam and the publisher decided to sell more copies by putting it on multiple stores and the devs just drag their feet and only update the other stores when people start complaining... I'll never buy another game from them (the dev, not the publisher)

Bingo.
All the evidence seems points to this hypothesis so far, unfortunately.

So for once it's the developers dragging, instead of the Publisher. That's good to know, and I hope T17 can bring down the hammer on Pathea regarding this issue.

Sorry about the wait on this. We'll keep you updated on this thread!
