I got this game on special, hoping it wasn't the same as the broken port on Steam. But every time I try to start a race, the game inexplicably crashes back onto the desktop with no error message or info on what caused the crash in the first place. I'm using Windows 10 64bit on an ASUS laptop with 2GB of RAM, and have downloaded this game using the current version of GOG Galaxy. Can anyone help me with this problem? Cause if it doesn't get resolved by the end of the month, then I'll just assume this is a broken port and ask for a refund.

I just found out on a Steam forum page that this game can only run with an Nvidea or ATi graphics processor, despite being a game made nearly 10 years ago. So I tried this method and to my surprise it actually works! Now I can finally play this game on my laptop! Though I really hope GOG can take advantage of this, and make more of their games run on a specific graphic processor, just so we wouldn't have to have problems getting said games to run!

tinyE: How do you "try this method"?
I right clicked on the game's .exe file, then under "Run through graphics processor", I select "Change default graphics processor". Then in "Manage 3D Settings", under the "Program Settings" tab I make sure the game is selected, then underneath I chose my integrated graphics card which is a High Performance NVIDIA processor, then select "Apply", close the window and boot up the game. After that it works just fine so far.. I hope this method also works for you! Sorry for the late response, but I was a bit tied up during the past week since I first saw your comment.

Nvidia processors crash the game, but only when you pause while in game, and try to exit the pause menu

Then I don't really know what else to do. I can't install an AMD graphics processor on my laptop because it uses an Intel Core i5 graphics chip, and AMD is not compatible with PCs that already have Intel built in.

I'm having this issue as well. Except I'm on a desktop, so I'm using a graphics card instead of a processor.

Specs:
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
AMD FX-6300 @ 3.9GHZ
EVGA NVIDIA GTX 950 SSC 2GB
8GB 1600
Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium

the patched tracks fixed the crashes for me i wish gog would take time to ask the developer to fix this game
