Is the Time Trials DLC included with GOG's release of Mirror's Edge? I don't see it mentioned in the product page.

It's not. For the time being it remains Origin exclusive.

Teh game has been out fooor nearly a decade; I think it's safe to say it ain't comin', evah.
so non origin customers pay the same price but get less, just as we know ea.
Sucks. Guess I won't bother buying it then.
Fuck it, I'm buyin' it as it's on sale, plus gog's getting some of my money, nothing wrong with that!
But if we bought the DLC time trial from origin, can it be install with this version ?

I already own the retail-version (and finished the game), but if GOG can get their hands on the time trials DLC, I'd buy it again at once!

Maybe GOG-staff could post a statement regarding negotiations with Origin/EA? Is it possible that the DLC will be available here in the near future?

It is linked to the SecuROM DRM of the retail and Origin versions (doesn't work with the Steam version either) unless they changed it recently. From the store's fine print:
Note: Currently this map pack only works with the EADM and disk versions of Mirror's Edge. If you have purchased the game through another download service, you may receive an error message during installation that will prevent use with the full game. We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience that this causes.

and afaic, securom is cancer... litteraly...

Early versions of this piece of junk trashed a cd player of mine (the hardware device, i mean; it was a known/acknowledged bug with some games)

the second (and last time before i entered the ban drm crusade path) was with physical version of NWN2 at its release days, the securom process suck up to 50% of CPU activity.

Also it used to prevent games from launching if it detected (so it sort of had scanned before that) some "so called questionable or illegal piracy softwares" on your system, such as microsoft techlab's Process Explorer (task manager replacement by Mark Rusinowitz) or "nero burning rom PRO version" and wouldnt launch game until full computer reset

also in the troubleshooting faq, it suggested to shut down one's firewall and antivirus before launching in case of additional problems... Yeeeeeahhh right !

sorry for the ranting but securom usually turns me red

Modern copies of Mirror's Edge just use the SecuROM variant that puts in a NULL'd registry key with checkin on hardware change. It's fairly benign. Though I will say it's annoying that EA slaps it on everything, and even puts Origin DRM on their DOS games. Ugh.

Also, a TON of anti-hack/cheat software will detect and fail if you've launched Process Explorer. Some will fail even if Process Explorer is closed before a reboot (!) as PE tends to clean up poorly. This is particularly prevalent in Korean-made MMOs as they have extremely aggressive checking due to the prevalence of hacks/cheats from their neighbor.
yes, i did read (and witness) that you would have to do an entire reboot if ever used PE, even after closing it, for such "softwares" to work.

My point was:
PE is a LEGITIMATE application, it's NOW plublished by Microsoft as they hired the maker for their techlabs program/website, and it is an official endorsed powertool. The digital signature of it bears the certificate of microsoft. Sorry, can't do more legit than that, to me.

it's as if some stupid anticopy systems would say "oh, you launched internet explorer, task manager or notepad ? very fraudulent of you... we wont let you launch our game". Or "oh, you launched windows ? we can't let you play the windows
version of the game"

anyway, thank you for your additional info on the matter

and, also, EA: drm on DOS 2 or 3 decace old games ? come on !

MetalPlateMage:
I know I'm reviving a very old thread here, but on this steam community workaround it says that the SecuROM version is only needed temporary and the files could be copied over after a successful install of the DLC to a SecuROM version.
So maybe this could also work with the GOG version.
It could also mean, that this would not be impossible to implement from EA's side.
