So I go dungeon crawling, and suddenly one of my characters gets diseased. I only know of two options, one being running back to a temple and getting an expensive heal, the other being letting the character die after a few days (But I value all my teammates, so that isn't a very good option).

Is there anything that I can do to get rid of the diseases that is portable?

EDIT: I reached the point where I can get the money for disease easily. I just need portable.

You can get Suppress Disease spell in Vertigo. It won't cure the disease but if you cast it every day it'll keep them from dying. Rivercity has the Cure Disease spell, I seem to recall. That'll solve the problem for cheap.
You may get an item that can cast Cure Disease as well, but it depends on random loot from monsters. Buying the spell is a far better method.

I checked Rivercity, and they only have Cure Paralysis and Poison.

I guess Suppress Disease will have to do.

EDIT: You are mixing up Disease with Poison. Thanks for trying to help though.

I believe there's a quest in E4/F3 that results in being awarded the spell Cure Disease. You can probably purchase the spell outright somewhere as well (Rivercity)?

Either way, that's your best bet.
My mistake. Cure Disease is in Winterkill. As mentioned, I think I also recall a statue in F3 somewhere that'll teach it to you, but I can't remember if there are any requirements to doing so.

Yes, there is a statue. South of the starting town there is a small island with a tent. The guy who lives in the tent needs his whistle back. If you give him his whistle (can be found somewhere to the west with a skeleton near the river, I think) he will active the two statues near the eastern border of the world, one teaches Cure Disease for free, the other teaches Cure Poison for free to every cleric or paladin in the party.
Druids and rangers can learn this spell in the guild in Castleview.

It took me a while, but I finally found the whistle (It wasn't on the main river, at a point a part of the river turns and goes to a delta-shaped area. At one of the corners a corpse there has the whistle.
