I'm fairly certain that there's no native support for a gamepad, but you could try to program your pad, i.e. map certain keyboard keys to buttons on the pad. You can use a free program like Joy2Key or Xpadder to do this (or if your pad comes with programming software, you can use that instead).

Still, it might be a little tricky... there are mouse controls, but the game can be played entirely with the keyboard using shortcuts. The problem is that there are a lot of these, and you might run out of buttons on your pad.

You could probably get it to work, as long as you don't mind having to program it ahead of time and maybe occasionally needing to hit a key on the keyboard.
