OK, how do I get to read this book (in dragon cave)?

I'm almost at the end of CoX (only volcano cave, golem dungeon and final area left) and I still can't read this book.

I've give ALL the intellect bonuses to sorceror. And even with the fountain that gives + 50 and the other one that gives + 10, and 2 items I can only get as far as 148...

I suppose I could keep trying the blacksmiths till I get some bonus, but that's only going to be +little. Is 150 the magic number? Are there any intellect bonuses awaiting me in the 2 areas I missed?

I found a good intellect item in the dragon cave itself. It raised intellect to 168, which allowed to read the highest level dragon volume, but not the art of taxation. Does that need 200?

I don't think you are supposed to be able to read that book. I think Jon Van Caneghem was trying to make a point about complex tax rules.

Haha, that could be it. Anyway, after reading it, even though I got the "You don't understand it with your inferior intellect" message, the urns stopped collecting tax...

I will still try to come back if I ever get a higher Intellect, just in case.

It requires "total intellect" (base + bonus) of 250 or higher.
Upon reading you get 500,000 exp and a special title.

250?? Hope ther is enough Int bonus in DSoX, because I just finished clouds and didn't get it any higher
