Things are swimming along fine until I grabbed the sarcophagus in Ravage Roaming. I've got it. What do I do with it?

It's part of what you need to fulfill a quest in an area outside Ravage Roaming. I don't know how much you want to discover for yourself, so I'll stop my answer here.

If you like, I can add answers to any and/or all of the following: 1) where the quest giver is located, 2) what else you need, and 3) where to find the other thing(s) you need.
its a big ass fuckin box that you probably wont be using for a while, just leave it in one of the hirelings inventories at an adventures inn till you need it.
If you find something you don't understand, just make a note\screenshot of it and get back to it later.
The Might & Magic games are much more fun if you explore the world yourself and don't look up everything online.

Thanks. Got another problem. I consulted a couple of walk throughs and not help. When I get into Pirates Keep on Regan and go down the ramp, I come to a door that indicates I need a key to open. I never came upon a key that would work. Were do I get the key?

I'm pulling from memory here and it has been a while since I've played, so my apologies if I'm not entirely accurate.

I'm assuming you are in the Regna map area, and that you are entering the front door of the main pirate keep (the transition text says something about it being ostentatious, I think?). Iirc, there's a ramp leading down from that front room to a locked door. If the game says "the door is locked", then look around in that entrance area for a button or a switch. If the game says "you need a key", then you may need to find a different entrance to the pirate hideout. Don't just listen to the characters, check the info text area where the game reports things like how much gold you got from a dead monster.

There are multiple entrances that you could use to get into the main areas of the pirate hideout.
