well I bought this game. tried to play on my window 8.1 comp.

Game is running fine until.....

the game hit at night or in water water.

The whole screen turn black. only the char icon can be seen. else all black.

anyone know how to overcome this problem? any patch for this?

I think this is only problem for window 8/8.1.

Solution from one other forum:

"Search for lithtech.exe

click properties

click the Compatibility Tab

Check the following boxes

- run in compatibility of win XP
- run in 256 colorrun in 640 x 480
- Disable Visual Themes
- Disbale DEsktop composition

-Run program as administrator

ALSO, repeat steps for mm9.exe

Should be able to do the trick "

khooeh: yes saw that. I tried and did not work. I think it is win 8 problem.
Suggest you dou a thread search for "MM9 and Windows 8.1"--I made a few posts IIRC spelling out how I got it running easily enough...(It's not Win8.1 that's the problem.) Good luck!

I've also been trying to get this game to run. It's weird that in my compatibility tab I don't have those boxes that you say to check off.
