Have fullfilled all the requirements for the knight to champion promotion quest in M&M 8 but the character "in charge" of doing the promotion won't do it. To double check this, I went on line and read the solution to this quest. I 've done everything I needed to, but can't get this done. Has anyelse had this problem? Does anyone know a way to fix this? GOG support has not bothered to answer me about this bug. I'm hoping someone can help?

Can you state everything you did?

Did you cure Stormlance?

Did you hire Leane as a hireling? (be sure the character with Ebonest is selected when talking to Leane or she won't activate her hire-ablility script)

Did you go to Dragon Hunter's Camp and talk to Quixote? (I don't know if you have to have your Ebonest person selected, but it wouldn't hurt)


Otherwise, I'd say you have a corrupt save file.

This could be important (sadly, a number of bugs stayed in MM8), and also, if you chose the knights and have already fulfilled their alliance quest, have you tried the promotion both in Garrotte Gorge and Ravenshore, in the council hall?

To GOG customer "support"-your complete lack of service has just cost you another customer. If you could not help with my problem that's one thing-ignoring 3 e-mails after a week or so is another. I won't be buying from you again!

If there's any consolation, I've had similar bad support with another site(Gamer's Gate). Unfortunately, the new normal is to expect people to solve support problems on their own.

I had to make a spam account simply to answer this:

1) How about some attitude change? GOG didn't make the game, nor can a distribution system on old games ever promise you fixes to in-game problems. This was an issue in the release version, if you really think GOG has any chance of editing a decade++ codebase (even get legal access to it) and then republish it.. you are retarded beyond any meassurable means.


2) The reason I ended here was a similar problem. But the issue is, if you recruited the dragon hunter dudes, then the promotion guy won't be in GG, but in Ravenshore, in the merchant guild. EVEN THOUGH THE GUY IN GG also says "promotion to champion" -> "You are not worthy" .. he has nothing to do with it, go to the guy in Merchant guild and it'll be fixed.
