Hello guys!

I just downloaded the MM game pack, and I realy want to play MM6.

The problem is that is crashes in the start, a grey screen comes up, and the windows "wheel of thinking" just keeps spinning forever.

Error: Video driver not a DirectDraw driver.

So I downloaded mok patch 1.10, installed, no difference.
I have also tryed to start the game as administrator, does not work ether.

But I can start MM4-5 so it is just a problem with MM6, anyone knows how to fix this?
This question / problem has been solved by geneteximage
If you check your start menu for this game does it have a graphics setup tool? If so try the different settings in that, but be sure to run it as an administrator to save the changes you make.
There is no start menu as far as I know, if there is one it is only possible to enter it after the game has started, and that is my problem as of now, the game refuse to start.

He was referring to the Windows start menu, however there is no configuration settings there, do make sure you are running as an admin though.
Try checking the shortcut to see if Compatibility is enabled. On my Windows XP system, it's set to Windows 98.
Could you please post your system specs?
Yes, it is possible to change the compatibility, but I have tried to change it to every system possible, no difference.

My computer is a Macbook pro, but I have also installed windows 7, about 30GB free space on the windows 7 pariton.

Intel core 2 duo 2,26 ghz, 2gb ram, Nvidia 9400M or something like that.

I have read something about changing the "hardware accelerated video" or something like that, I did also try to change this but didnt help anything ether. :(

So if you go to your dxdiag and then the display tab it says that the directdraw acceleration is enable under directx features?

Also have you installed the latest nvidia drivers for your card?
Hello again! I found a solution!

When installing boot camp on my Mac for Windows, I need to instal the drivers afterwards, by inserting the MacOS CD. I had forgotten/didnt know this.

Now it works perfect, but thanks anyways guys.

Yes, a program running in the background is causing it.

It's difficult to tell which exactly it is. Could be your antivirus, or some skype or similar messenger program.

Your best bet is to disable everything, and then enable them one by one to try and discover the culprit (in case of your antivirus, be sure to be disconnected before you disable it).
