I am playing MM7 now and there is something weird going on.

Whenever I encounter with enemies they always attack the 3rd member in my party.

I don't know why but no matter what, all the enemy just hit her. After she dies then they move on to other members.

Since she is a low health cleric, I want to replace her with a better equipped knight which is on the 1st place.

I remember that I used control and click switches their order in MM6 but it doesn't seem to work in MM7.

Unofficial 1.6.2 patch is installed and everything else works just fine.

Is there anyway to change party order in MM7?

No, you can't do that. And even if you could it wouldn't solve your problem because it's not the party order that plays a role here. Some monsters have preferences when choosing their targets - and you got it right - they hate clerics a lot and if she is also a dwarf it will get even worse because goblins hate them as well.

Are you serious? Why the heck they had to make the game that way. I had no idea the game has such thing when I first created my party. If I knew, I wouldn't pick a dwarf! Oh no... I've gone too far to start over the game so I think I will just have to deal with it. Thanks for answer.

Yeah, it's not very nice but since you've just learned it try to use this knowledge wisely: the best armor and shield should always go to cleric. The same with rings and amulets that increase AC. Try to find/buy some item with regeneration. Boost her with some spells before dangerous battles and she should be fine.

Alternatively... download some character's editor (there are plenty of them) and change her race ;)
It will be annoying in the beginning since all characters, especially the spellcasters, are still very weak. Just keep at it, mate :) Later on your party will be a lot stronger and wont die of merely 3 hits, then you won't have to worry so much about class and race selection.
A Cleric makes the game so easy (2nd is the sorcerer) that there has to be some drawbacks :)
