I found secret part of the merchant guild in Ravenshore and was told by the NPC that I could use the facilities. I was like, cool, I'm a storage hog and I thought I could store spells and Regents and stuff there. Well, as you probably know *poof* when it respawned I lost all my stuff. Fortunately nothing too serious, I have a major cash flow surplus goin' on. Is there an area to store items indefinitely?

There should be a couple of chests around Ravenshore. Have you tried storing items in them?

Yes, the original chests I used were in Ravenshore, in the merchant's guildhouse. Thats how I lost them.
Yeah, that happened to me with Korbu's Sarcophagus. I could never find Korbu's bones because I apparently overlooked the one damn chest the cyclops had stuffed him in, so I was toting around this big coffin for nothing. I decided even Flamdring, who had nothing else, didn't need to be carrying that around, so I dumped it in the Merchant's Guild. But since it is too big to fit in a chest, I just ended up throwing it on top of some crates, and of course when I did find Korbu's rotted corpse and went back, the sarcophagus was gone. I like to think it scared the pants off some poor janitor and he threw it out. I also like to think that idiot was burned at the stake when the Regnans invaded. Fortunately, the Oracle helped me out, and in payment for the vampires of Shadowspire sending me on that dumb quest to promote the one vampire character in my party, (whom I decided was useless and had long before replaced with Flamdring) I lured all the vampire minions and skeletal dragons from the surrounding wilderness into the town. Yeah, I play like that.

Yeah, heh, I hear ya. I don't know if this is off-topic or if it'll land me in some heat, but I am a big vampire fan. I love the mythos(I find a lady vampre extremely sexy). I kept a vampire in my party just because of that, thank God there are 5 slots.

Why aren't you using the NPC's at the inn. You will have many join you, only to stay at the Inn since you can only have 5 in your party. Many npc's you will never use, so, use them for storage.

Use one for storing weapons...another for armor... another for different magic items and so on...

They NEVER respawn so you will never loose your goodies. Have played MM8 a bunch a times and do this everytime. I'm a pack rat and these NPC's come in handy.

Have also stored Korbu's coffin at the Inn while I gathered other items... I have one NPC hold all Quest items....Never a problem with getting them back when I want them. Everything, always there when needed....

This is exactly the best way to store items in the game. Don't bother trying to find permanent chests, just drop everything in a couple of adventurers at the Inn, and leave them there.
