I just logged in recently and found an "upgrade" for my M&M i-VI 6-pack. I downloaded the new file listed as "setup_MM16_limited_edition_2.0.0.41.exe" When I installed the file, I had new round game icons. I started a new game of M&M VI. After playing several hours, I discovered the Shadow Guild Hideout in Castle Ironfist has been rendered unfinishable. The switch that should open the way out no longer works. I've been playing this game for years. I know how that quest works. It did before the "upgrade" . It doesn't now. Help?

Do you have the old version installed so you can test the save file on that? You could upload a save file here if you rename the extension to .jpg instead of .mm6 and I'll see if I get the same bug. Other than that I'd suggest sending a support ticket with a save file attached.
What system are you running? I played it in wine, on LinuxMint 13 (maya) both patched and unpatched, and did not have the same problem with the updated installer.

Is it possible a patch may help it anyway?

I have the same problem on a Windows 7 desktop six years ago and on a Windows 10 Surface Pro 4 this year. It's not the system. I've tried different parties and different tactics, but it stll happens. Truly no one has ever had this problem in all these years?
