I've got MM7/8 installed with Wineskin, but I'm having a problem:

Everything installs, launches, and looks fine to up to the point when the first loading screen gets done: once I'm in the game itself, the loading screen is overlayed with the game itself. If I enter a shop, then the background of the shop overlays with the rest of the game. The music, controls, and everything else works perfectly.

Anyone know how to solve this? I've already tried multiple different wineskin engines, several different wine tricks, but nothing helps. The only that does help is if I run the game in a virtual desktop. Then everything works perfectly fine, but I can't get the resolution past 800x600, so it's a tiny box. If I could make the virtual desktop bigger, that would solve the problem too.

If anyone can help, that would be fantastic. Thanks.

Edit: I just upgraded to 10.10.5 (Yosemite), and was on Snow Leopard before. With that, I used Paul the Tall's premade MM7 wrapper and never had any problems. The same wrapper does not work on the new operating system.

SOLVED: All right, I managed to fix it about 10 minutes after posting this! I'll leave this up for anyone in the future. I got it working by using Wine engine WS9Wine1.7.24D3D, and under the screen options I chose Rootless (windowed) and selected virtual desktop at my resolution. I have Force Normal Windows selected, and use Mac Driver instead of X11 and Auto Detect GPU. The other two are unchecked.

It makes both games work perfectly fine. Only problem I noticed is that I have to force quit it upon exiting, but that's nothing. I have no idea what I did, but it works! Hope this helps someone in the future.
