Are you running from shortcut made during installation?

"illegal command" is a DosBox message saying you have entered something that is not a built-in command nor executable. In this case: something is wrong with your installation or your configuration files -- DosBox is trying to start "xeen.exe" but can't find it.

If you are using WinVista or Win7: Did you run the install as an administrator? Did you start Xeen as an administrator?
It sounds like the installer was not run for the xeen.exe error. I do know that administrator level accounts in Vista and Win 7 should have proper permissions. You could double check to see what type of account you're using thru User Accounts.
im using the shortcut and i have user account control off


and i am running as admin

and XEEN.exe is in the folder....

got it working reinstalled it to another drive, copied a new version of dos box to the folder
Reinstalled and it works fine now. I have no idea what was up, but oh well.
