HI everybody,

when I start MM1 there appears a start menue where I can:
- press c for create new characters
- press v for view all characters
- press # for go to town

I have created some new characters
I can view them (there are aout 12) and also rename then, but when I want to go to town an press # nothing happens :-(

When i rename a character I can use the # key in the name, so it looks like the game detects this keyboard input propperly. But nothing happens when I press the # key in the menue to go to town.
So I am stuck in the startmenue...

Has anyone an idea?
Best Regards

Each town has its own number assigned to it. Press 1 to access the starting town. Use the other numbers to get to the other towns once you get to them at a later time.

For the record, MM2 works the same way.

(This is a common question, for whatever reason. I guess modern gamers aren't used to seeing '#' as meaning "number", particularly when there isn't much context. Maybe the text should have read "1-5" instead of '#', but I am not sure offhand whether that would fit.)
Also, if it ever says to "press any key" then maybe don't look for the "any" key. Though, some keyboards do have an "any" key, any other key would likely work, too.
