Hi guys,

I'm in the middle of my latest MM7 run and... I don't understand it, but my armor skills have been drained! I think it happened in Avlee while killing Wyverns/Sea serpents. It MIGHT have happened earlier though (I stole tapestry from castle Gloaming and turned everyone hostile, then I went to prison in Erathia for a year).

I had three party members (dark path) at expert level in chain and leather, and now two party members have lost their armor skills completely and my ranger (previously expert in chain) has the skill reduced to 2.

I learned the skill again hoping that it will return to its previous state, but no...

It seems that only armor skills were afected by this.

Maybe someone can help me understand what happened? I suppose it was drained in a fight, if so, by which monster?

Thanks in advance!:)

IIRC, this is a glitch that occurs when you use an NPC Master Healer, that the armor skills are lost. I've never heard of skill points being drained but the skill still left behind, though. I "solved" the problem just by no longer using a Master Healer. I do not know how the glitch may be fixed, though.

I don't know what might have drained it, but I do know it wasn't a (intended possible) result of monster's attack. Some of them can break your gear, but none of them should be able to drain any skill.
Thank you guys!

Indeed I was using a master healer during castle gloaming fights (my party -thief/ranger/archer/monk does not have a proper self Spellcaster).

Well, the bastard took 50% of my gold so it wasn,t the best choice anyway considering there are other cheaper healers available...

Thank you for your help!:)

Your thief should be pretty respectable at making potions, so that can offset things too.

Thanks for the suggestion. I completed the game using mostly regular healers' help. Next time I'll definitely try the alchemy skill (I somehow never felt the need to invest in it in my previous games, same thing with stealing).

Having the alchemy skill lets you make the potions you need on-demand. You don't need it (using a cleric, healer type followers, temples, or buying/finding potions and scrolls), but it can be useful.

Stealing is the next best thing to useless though. You can go through the entire game without it and not miss anything.
