I was thinking of adding the patches thru Media Store and Share, but I found out that the personal Webspace has 20 megabytes of storage. I went ahead and added the Mok and GreyFace patches along with 3DO's MM9 1.0 to 1.2 patch. I added the TELP unofficial MM9 1.2 to 1.3 patch as well.

I was looking for something like this!
Thanks a lot, much appreciated :D
Should I install the official patches before the unofficial ones?
And what are the differences between the Mok and Greyface's patches?

Thanks!

No.

Greyface includes Mok's. If you got your Might and Magic from GOG, just install Greyface.

Ok, so I just install the games, and install Greyface's patches!
No official, no Mok's!

Right?

I'm still inordinately depressed from the last lot I had, but thanks nonetheless.

No worries! Have fun!
My seal of approval for Greyface's patch for M&M VI.

Turn based combat is much quicker than it was when I played the game before. It is now actually faster to just keep the attack button pressed during turn based mode for those fights that are too easy than to use real time mode. (This is because the monsters more easily dodges your shots in real time mode than in turn based.) A great time saver.

The patch adds some fixes and improvements that you may or may not want to use depending on how you think the original game should be played, but almost all of these can be turned off in the ini file.
One of them is fixing dual wielding that was broken even in the latest official patch of the game. You would think that the original developers meant for the feature to work but you cannot be sure (perhaps they thought it was too strong?). if you enable it (as it is by default in the patch) it should make the game a lot easier than the original version. On the other hand if you disable it like I did, a mastery in sword fighting is useless and you would be better off to go for axe or spear instead.

The patch does mostly just try to fix things that was broken or that the author thought was broken and does not add any new content to the gameworld with the exception of a Smuggler's guild in Free Haven that the author found in the game files.

And now for something not completely different:

Just in case anyone is interested... Grayface now has Might and Magic 7 patch 1.6.1 available at his website. Also Might and Magic 8 patch 1.5, and Might and Magic 6 patch 1.11.1.

I can't seem to get Greyface's MM6 patch to run. It says setup corrupt, and to get a new copy of program. Anyone had this problem?

I just tried to put the greyface patch from teh site in my MM6 folder ( the MM6 greyface patch, tryingto add to GOG version of MM6) It says setup files are corrupted.
I'd just like to let everyone know that the link BungBo posted to Greyface's 1.6.1 patch corrected these movement issues on my Vista 64bit machine. Now I can play the game!

In the patch notes, Greyface mentions that this is a "rounding issue" with some machines, and it even affected NPC's.

Thanks Greyface and everyone else in this thread. :D
