I've been working on an MM7 mod and it turns out the skill tables and some other data are hardcoded into the exe.

Supposedly GrayFace's patch and MMExtension have a workaround, adding Lua scripts and a dev console.

Just how good is GrayFace's patch and mod framework? Has anyone encountered any problems with it?

Bumping because I never received a reply and it's been over a year.

Are there any other patches or mods I should consider?

Here's your first reply, unhelpful as it may be.

I don't know, as I've never used them. Have you tried posting on a greyface forum? (does such a forum even exist?)

I like Greyface's MM7 patch for a few reasons, mostly for toggleable mouselook movement and F2 for doubling the game speed. I don't know of any other mods, honestly.
well i always install greyfaces patch now when i go to play a MM game, just seems to remove a lot of errors and bugs but that's pretty much it.
Greyface patch is like official for me (and for almost all fans, I guess), so you should work with.
Maybe, for MM7, consider the small patch adding the items form MM8.
