I'm not sure why the Might and Magic games and I don't get along. First the glitches in MM6, then character editors not working.

Now, the GOG version of MM8 is wanting me to have a disc in order to play? I do have the disc version, yet I'm missing the play disc, but I don't believe I ever installed it on this computer.

Should I try installing it again and see if that helps? At this point in almost ready to stop playing the games completely. I don't want to, but they aren't working for me. Could it be a file error by any chance in the other ones? MM7 works fine and I'm using the disc version for that.

I'm not sure what's causing this, but have you installed Grayface's MM8 patch yet?

You could also try running the game as Administrator (right-click => run as ...), maybe it's an access issue.
To avoid most of these, don't install the game into Program Files but in a custom directory, e.g. C:\Games\...

Also compatibility modes are always worth a try (right-click the game's shortcut => Properties => Compatibility tab).

Thanks. I'll take a look and let you know if it works.

I think modding MM6 was the problem for the quest glitches in that game.
