Of course it's easy. It's a one byte fix in the CC file, and then all new save files are flagged as having the code already entered. I've detailed it several times and even offered to actually write them a program to do it but no one responds to my emails. :(
Ah, didn't know that. Still, it could be that GOG are not technically allowed to alter the code they are selling, since they don't own it. But, they could... encourage
players to use the fix through linking it in a sticky the way they do for mods and such.
